One way to create a UV LED tube light is by taking a standard LED tube and replacing its internal light source with a UV light source. By utilizing the existing shell of the LED tube, we can easily transform it into a UV emitting light fixture.


Germicidal lamps that emit ultraviolet light are commonly utilized in various settings such as hospitals and schools. These lamps are effective in killing off bacteria, viruses and other harmful microorganisms that are present indoors.


Germicidal lamps can be utilized to eliminate bacteria and viruses present in a room, which is particularly significant in light of the global spread of new coronaviruses.


The UV germicidal lamp is classified as a low-pressure mercury lamp due to its method of operation. This particular type of lamp emits ultraviolet light through the stimulation of a lower mercury vapor pressure, typically below 10-2Pa. The emitted ultraviolet light consists of two prominent spectral lines: one with a wavelength of 253.7nm and the other with a wavelength of 185nm. Interestingly, both of these wavelengths fall within the ultraviolet spectrum and cannot be perceived by the human eye.


The ultraviolet sterilizer consists of both an ultraviolet germicidal lamp and an ultraviolet curing lamp. These lamps are not only characterized by different wavelengths but also by varying ultraviolet intensity levels. For instance, low-pressure tube lights and medium-pressure tube lights are used as ultraviolet germicidal lamps. On the other hand, the ultraviolet curing lamp typically utilizes light sources with several hundred watts of power, whereas only a few tens of watts are required for a single tube light. It is worth noting that if the power difference is significant, the curing process will take considerably longer.


UV curing lamps and UV sterilization lamps have vastly different prices. Typically, UV sterilizers come with a higher price tag compared to UV curing lamps.


UV germicidal lamps are the preferred choice in most cases. They are commonly utilized due to their effectiveness and ease of use.
